No tools needed. 1. Unscrew both halves of the Spire Pendant completely. 2. Hold it over a table or flat surface, then open the pendant. 3. The used battery pack should slide out on its own. If it needs help, lightly tap the shell into your palm. 4. Slide a fresh battery pack into the upper half with the black ring visible. Keep it straight and do not force it; it should settle in smoothly. 5. Screw the pendant halves back together until snug. Your Spire should glow again right away.
Spire uses a custom-wrapped 377 (SR626SW) battery pack. The thin wrap helps prevent shorting and keeps the pendant working reliably, so loose generic button batteries are not a clean swap.
