Our custom-wrapped batteries are made specifically to fit the Spire Pendant. Each battery contains two SR626SW (377) button cells sealed in clear plastic to prevent shorting and ensure reliable performance. Designed exclusively for Spire Pendants, each battery lasts up to 250 hours of continuous light.
[Youtube video coming soon] 1. Unscrew both halves of the Spire Pendant completely. 2. Open the pendant to reveal the battery inside. 3. Important: Do this over a table or flat surface to avoid losing any parts if the outer wrapping separates. Loose button batteries can be dangerous to small children or pets. 4. Use the included precision tweezers or any small tweezers to gently remove the dead battery. You can often grab the small lip of the plastic wrapping and pull it and the battery will slide out. 5. Gently insert the new battery into the upper half of the pendant with the black ring visible. Make sure the battery is straight and not crooked or at an angle when inserting. It should slide in easily when properly aligned. (Forcing it in can damage the wrapping and destroy the battery.) 6. Screw the pendant halves back together until fully tightened and your Spire Pendant should now be glowing brightly!
Unwrapped standard 377 (SR626SW) button batteries cause shorting that prevents the pendant from working properly. Wrapping them in a thin layer of plastic fixes this, but the wrapping is custom and not available elsewhere. We did not want the batteries to be exclusive to our shop, but no generic option works without modification. We considered redesigning the pendant to fit generic batteries, but that would compromise its proportions and look. Instead, we chose to offer a compatible option at an affordable price. We are a very small business with a small team, but we think these pendants are awesome and love to see people enjoy them as much as we do! For that reason, we are committed to providing affordable batteries for the Spire Pendant until we can find a way to make generic batteries work. Thank you for your understanding. <3 — RFH Team
